Our Story
SP-FAO Antonov 2 TP ( Transport Passenger ) was built in Poland in 1989 by WYTWORNIA SPRZETU KOMUNIKACYJNEGO-MIELEC ( aka PZL -Mielec ) , our An2 was imported into Australia by Barry Hempel in 1992 with only 30hours total time when it left Poland for the ferry flight to Australia.
Barry operated the aircraft privately until 2008 the year he passed away.
3 brothers who Barry had taught to fly purchased the the aircraft, having kept it airworthy ever since.
The An2 was designed in 1943 first flight 1947.
